On WeTheArmed, I posted a picture and asked a simple question.  “Which one?”

The Top One, or the Bottom One?

In the thread, several guys liked the one on top, but overwhelmingly, people were digging the one on the bottom better. I like them both… At first I liked the top one as it has that classic “Custom” look that I dig… dark on top.  But the bottom one… it grew on me and I see why everyone liked it.  The lighter weight alloy frame, practical long wearing stainless… It’s certainly the smartest configuration.  It would be awesome… but I still like the top one… just for the looks of it.  See, growing up, all the custom guns (1911’s) were two tones, blued slides on stainless frames.   That’s just the look that’s stuck with me.

The question is, how to I get one like that?  Beretta doesn’t offer it and I don’t want to buy two.  I don’t know why I am jonesing for a 92… but I am.  Really, it’s the only 9mm, other than a Browning High Power that I want.  Er… those and a SIG P210… and a Colt Pocket Nine… and… and… and… I’m kind of an addict, aint I?

Check this news out.  The Ft. Hood shooter was a “Work Place Violence” issue, not Domestic Terrorism.

China is ramping up for War.  Getting ready to throw down.   Our side’s response?  “No one is looking for a scrap here.”  No, not here… but over there, they sure as hell are!

The ATF’s project Fast and Furious, which is giving the Drug Cartels lots of high powered weapons they are using against us now… is to make American Gun Owners look bad.

Do you see the pattern here?  The US Government doesn’t know what the hell they are doing and they have no common sense.  It’s a wonder that the streets of DC, inside the Beltway, isn’t littered with the bodies of drowned Government Workers every time it rains.

Crusader, Training

Working on 2012 Crusader Training

For the 2012 Crusader Weaponry Training Schedule, I am thinking I want to break up the general “Tactical Carbine” courses.  What do you guys think about having platform focused classes?  AR, AK, Lever, and Bolt. Other platforms could come to the AR or AK course depending on the similarities.  (This also means I need a good AK and we’ll have to develop a Crusader Kalash Package)

We’re also going to go into greater focus on the Shotgun.  More work on actual slug accuracy, and use of them for barrier penetration. Advanced Shotgunning.

I’m also thinking about offering Force on Force, Patrol Techniques, Assault and Ambush. Mounted and Dismounted.  Firing from Vehicles, Moving and Stationary.   We will also use Guest Instructors.  These classes will have some more stringent requirements, meaning that we will only let in students that mean certain requirements.  Citizens of US or strong Allied Nations, clean background.   We are not going to train anyone if we have any doubt about their character or intent.

Passing on SpikeTV

SpikeTV called me last Thursday… Skype video interview… Followups…
They wanted me in a new TV show they are working up called “Americana”.  I don’t know what all the show would entail… But it sounds interesting.
It also sounded a bit too invasive.  I don’t want a TV Crew crawling around my home.  We are pretty private folks here and I’m not digging that. See, I’ve never posted pics of the front of my house, the names of all my kids, my street address… There is a reason for that. 
I’ve been followed, I’ve been threatened, I’ve faced some funky situations normal folks don’t deal with because I have a strange quasi minor celebrity thing going on… Then when I ran for office, I had more threats, tangible enough to warrant reporting.  Not against me… But my family.  Doing this show would not be in the best interests of my family.  It would have been great for me, for Crusader… But not my family.  So I’m going to pass.
Yes, I’m turning down another TV show.  Again.

Imagine a new American version of The Spanish Inquisition… You are an Inquisitor. You have no rules, no restrictions, no oversight.  You can Question anyone… with any dark age outcome you want, any enhanced methods or just straight up burning at the stake.
Who would you put in the chair?  The question… Why did you let America fall?  Why did you sell out the American Dream?  Etc. 
Who is your top five to question? 
Mine? Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Al Gore, Harry Reid, and George Soros.

Cain is Out

I’m not happy about Cain dropping out.  I’m not surprised either.  Cain really was one of the best options and would have made a great President.
This leaves Mitt and Newt.  Sounds more like a Sit-Com than a Presidential race.  The upshot is that either one will do just fine… A Hell of a lot better than what we’ve had.  Neither of them are the perfect choice… Then again, there is no perfect choice.  People with the flawless backgrounds, the good upbringing, history, and the brains to really run things… They are busy actually running things and not running races.
So we end up with The Mitt & Newts Show.
I think I’d rather see Newt win than Mitt.  But Mitt would do a good job.

Strange Dreams

I was standing on the battlements at Ft. George, an ancient fortress in Scotland.  I was overlooking the waters where the River Ness spills out to the ocean.  I turned my head and I watched several large helicopters coming in for landings and one taking off.  The old cannons had been re-arsenaled, and were standing ready with gun crews who were standing at attention as I walked past.  Someone wearing medieval armor with an SA80 slung over her back came up to me with an iPad.  Reports and such.  I looked them over briefly and saw that the situation was better than I had hoped.  We had found more survivors. The only thing that bothered me where the crows flying around.  Thousands of them…
This dream was right from Uprising UK.  I could smell the salt air and jet engine exhaust.  Don’t know if other authors actually dream in there created universes, but it was pretty dang cool.
A lot of people are telling me that Uprising UK was more fun to read than USA…. They are digging it more.  I like it better.
I just hope Russia lives up to it!

I’m going to have to rethink my support for Herman Cain.  A couple patsy girls was one thing.  But I’m starting to think the continual influx of girls coming forward might be an indication of a pattern of behavior that was perfectly fine for Bill Clinton, but totally off limits for a Republican… those are the Rules of the Game as set forth by The Media.  I still like Cain, that’s not the problem.  My problem is that I fear he is not – at this moment in time – as electable of a candidate as we want.  He’s being stereotyped as the black guy wanting to know where all the white women are at.  This is how they have to attack Cain, because they are unable to challenge him on Ideas.  Unfortunately these are attacks that go through any defense… Just the accusation is damaging enough to end a campaign.  Shady realestate deals are one thing… but a Man that might be interested in Women?  Oh dear… only Democrats can be interested in intimate adult heterosexual relationships.  Remember the Media’s defense of Clinton?  “It’s only sex.  None of our business.”  Or maybe Cain’s mistake was not having the State Police deliver the Hoochies to him. Oh wait, only Governors can do that.  As regrettable as it is, I think Cain’s pretty much done now.  Maybe he can pull off a Hail Marry, maybe not.  But I’d like to see Cain win the Nomination still… but I can’t see that happening now.

So this leaves us with what’s now looking like a Romney Gingrich race.   Newt is certainly the smartest man in the room at the Debates.  Newt knows the game very well, understands the process.  Sure, he’s Old School Established GOP… A continuation of the Machine that none of us are really happy with… but he made a very good point that is very true.  He is the most Conservative.  Looking at the Words and Deeds of the other Candidates Past, (Meaning Romney and Perry because Cain is pretty much now through) Newt nailed them to the wall.  The think I like about Newt is that he doesn’t care what you think.  You are going to get Newt’s direct opinion with less filtration.  You know he’s old school GOP and he doesn’t hide it.  The other guys do too… but are acting like they are not and Romney and Perry are both far less Conservative than I like.

One concern about Mitt Romney I heard on the radio and was not addressed.  “Well, if he becomes the President, how can he be protected if he goes in a Mormon Temple?  Because only Mormons can go in.”  Correction, only Mormons that meet certain standards – the highest standards, can go in.  The answer is that there are such Mormons who are in the US Secret Service, and they could go in with the President.  Also, the LDS Church has it’s own Secret Service equivalent that I will not talk about, but they are there, and they would be working in cooperation with the US.S.S… with the result that Mitt would be doubly protected.  This isn’t an issue at any level, but it does bug the hell out of the Liberal Media because they would be unable to get photographers and reporters in the temple to hound him in a place of worship he (and us Mormons) consider most sacred.  (I have worked with the LDS Church’s team – and it was a great honor that I will never forget.  I turned down full time employment as I would have been required to shave my goatee.  This would be like asking me to cut off an arm.  Couldn’t do it.)

While Newt might not be our favorite choice… a Newt Presidency wouldn’t be a bad thing.  He brings a lot of experience to the table… Wouldn’t that be refreshing?  Newt knows how to get things done and wouldn’t sit around blaming Bush, ATM Machines, or Swamp Gas. And he really is the more Conservative, like it or not.  And that would be a fantastic think to have in the White House.
