The Catch 22 of the 10mm

So many shooters say they love the 10mm.  But they’ve never owned one.  They say that they would, if ammo was cheaper and more plentiful.
If they would actually step up and buy 10mm guns and buy 10mm ammo, then the Gun Industry would respond in kind.   More guys buying 10mm, the more ammo would be produced, driving costs down.  More variety would be produced.  More gun makers would offer versions on 10mm.
But we won’t get that… Because 10mm is the Ron Paul of cartridges.

But could you imagine… An XDM, Beretta Storm, M&P, or a SIG… Anything from SIG… in 10mm?
I would buy a Beretta Px4 Storm Tactical in 10mm.  I’d buy it ASAP.  Hell, right now!
But then again, I have an active imagination.
Because the problem with the 10mm is also the gun options are so thin, no one is really interested in jumping into the 10mm bandwagon.  Unless you like Glock or EAA, you ain’t getting a 10mm.

Here is a prediction.
Just like the first AWB brought back the popularity of the .45 Auto… I predict the next AWB will bring a surge of people to Ten Territory.  8 rounds of .45, you could have the full limit of 10 10’s. Think about that.

Flashlight Fetish?

I’ll be honest… I love Flashlights.  Guns, Knives, Flashlights… Love them.  Our good friend Steve is making some flashlights and the stats look awesome.

I’ll post more info about this when I get it.  But rumor has it, Steve is going to do a WeTheArmed.com Special Offer for less than 60 bucks.  SOLID!

They need to throw the book at him

David Gregory’s story just keeps getting better.  So NBC asked permission to show the Magazine, the DC Police said No, and they showed it anyways, because they could not have just shown a video clip of one of these mags in action, David Gregory obviously HAD to have one illegally to hold up to make his point.
NBC needs to be fined, and David Gregory needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extend of the Law.  A.  To show the Liberal Media that they are not above the Law.  And B.  To show the Liberal Media that the Law its self is rather stupid.  A Year Sentance… for a Box with a Spring in it.  Maybe then guys like David Gregory will think that maybe just perhaps the Magazine is not the problem.  We can hope.

Already though… I don’t think much will come of this.  Because the Police are “Investigating”.  That right there tells us nothing is going to happen.  Because David held it up, declared what it was… Confessed to the Crime.  And The Bronze has really done nothing of it that to say they are “Investigating”.  What they should have done is made an Arrest.

Armed Security in Schools

Okay, just so we are clear…
It’s perfectly acceptable that our Politician’s have Armed Security at their Children’s Schools.  But if you or the NRA expect the same thing, you are an extremist and are delusional.

Got that?
It’s for your own good… THEY know what’s best.

Merry Christmas

Christmas Eve, I sold an interesting gun… A BFR in .45-70.
Then I took a long soak in a Jacuzzi, and now I’m watching a Firefly Marathon.  So I’m having a great day.  My boys and bride are living it up too.  Pizza, games, having fun…

I hope everyone else is enjoying the day as well.

Merry Christmas to The Horde.

New Lucids

Lucid sent me two new optics to review. The first is the Third generation of the HD7 red dot.  This one in Flat Dark Earth.
Initial impression is good.  I love the original HD7, and I am seeing an improvement in the Gen 3.
The new other optic is the new L5 rifle scope.  This is the 6.5-20X50, with a 30mm tube, side parallax focus, and a nice ballistic drop/hold over reticle.  Again, initial impression is positive.  I like the L5 reticle and am a huge fan of hold over reticles anyway.  So I’m digging this scope so far.  Clarity and Brightness seem on point.
I’m looking forward to testing both of these optics on top of Crusader built guns.

EDIT:  GEN 3 HD7, not 2.
