If I could pick 5 authors to back me up in a fight, Marcus would be in that small group. That means he knows what it is that he’s talking about. Authentic knowledge. Marcus knows of which he speaks. He has been there, done that. He could be one scary dude if you didn’t know him. But he’s a great guy and one of the most noble men I know. Get his book. Read it. The get all his others.
What do I need on my AR?
This is a common question that I get. What add-on’s does one really need? The simple answer is “none”. A basic, stripped down AR is perfectly serviceable. So you don’t necessarily need anything else. Anything from here on that you might add, should only be based on how it’s going to help you do what you want to do with it.
Glocking it today
You guys are of course well aware that I’ve been packing a 1911 a lot lately. Let’s clarify just what a lot lately is. About 3 days a week I’ve been packing my ATI 1911 Commander. I’m pleased with it. But the rest of the time, I’m packing my Glock 23. Still.
Reason being, there is no doubt or question about the Glock. It’s going to be there if I need it, and it’s going to do just what I need it to do. Simple as that. Also, it’s packing as much ammo in one mag as the 1911 packs in 2. That’s a bonus. Pretty much, the Glock 23 remains the perfect carry gun.
Bush was drunk? Okay, let’s go there…
I’m tired of hearing from Liberals that Bush was such an idiot. Bush graduated with an MBA from Harvard. Unless you did the same or equivalent, STFU. “But Bush was a drunk in college.” Okay… Let’s go there. Let’s say that’s true. Bush did better drunk than his critics did sober… so again, STFU.

“How to crawl Gun Shows.”
To many guys go out to a Big Gun Show, and think they are going to fall on an old under valued classic and flip it for a mint. Guys, just because the gun is old and rusty, doesn’t mean it’s valuable. No, Dillinger did not own that gun.
Pistol Training: Going to have to Reschedule.
Due to some schedule conflicts, we’re going to have to postpone the Pistol Class set for tomorrow.
This is a drastic downside to using a public range.

We finally got in one of the famed Springfield Range Officer 1911’s. The simplicity and plain appearance belies the nature of the gun. It’s truly a Sleeper… a Q Ship. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
