Armed American Radio is closing in on 5,000 Likes. Let’s push it across that line… tell your friends to LIKE Armed American Radio.
I’m not sure what a LIKE does, but it’s cool to have 5 thousand of them. Isn’t it? AAR is breaking records in the radio industry. Talker Magazine has put out some stuff about it because the bullet like speed of the show’s growth has raised eyebrows across the country. We’re adding new cities, new stations, new markets every week. We’re picking up big sponsors, such as the NRA themselves. So pull the Trigger on AAR – Tune in, Turn it up… If you can’t get it on the radio in your area, you can stream it. If you can’t catch us live, you can get it off iTunes or right off the AAR’s website. Link is over there on the right side.
Last year I was faced with a tough choice. I was running for public office, and I was wanting to go on Top Shot. The producers made me choose one of the other. I could not be running for office if I was going to be on the show. I had to pick. From the support I had for my campaign, there was no way I could turn my back on that. So I chose to take a pass on the show.
Tonight I just watched the 1000 Yard episode. A .50 cal rifle to 1000 yards? Are you kidding me? Love that. However watching what happened after the challenge… I am very glad I picked to keep my run for office. At times I had regretted not going on the show – but after this episode, I know I made the right choice. I wouldn’t want anything to do with the show after that. I don’t want anything to do with it now.
I’m watching, listening, and reading the news coming in from around the country and the world… I’m seeing the whole world going to hell in a handbasket. And I just don’t care anymore. I’m seeing Mankind’s ability to be inhumane to fellow man. Our Government’s Puppet Theater to keep the blissfully ignorant and gullible occupied while they run us into the ground. The seeds of war spread and taking root around the globe. I’m just not caring much anymore about all of it. Nothing is surprising me about how bad it’s getting. I really don’t care anymore.
All I care about is taking care of, and protecting my loved ones. Nothing else matters.
Here’s what’s going on. Last Tuesday I got a twinge of pain in my left knee. Wednesday morning, that knee was swollen and causing me huge amounts of acute pain. It’s only gotten worse. This morning I went to see the Saw Bones and he had a battery of tests done and x-rays. He drained a lot of fluid from the knee and injected Cortisone into it… a lot of Cortisone. I don’t think I’ll need surgery again. He also gave me a script for some serious pain meds. Right now I am without pain. That’s a beautiful thing.
On Facebook, a “Friend” (who I don’t know from Adam) posted a link to a story about Tom Selleck. The story’s headline is misleading. Read the article and see if you come to the same conclusion that I did. Tom reacted right. He called the guy out on his poor gun safety. Some clown picks up a gun, finger on the trigger, and starts pointing it at people… Tom sees it and promptly tells him to stop. The clown probably regards Tom as a jerk and has his feelings hurt. But that’s better than this clown claiming that “The Gun just went off” as he tries to explain to a grieving family how he killed their kid/dad/mom/etc. Continue reading Tom Selleck, good guy.→
Anyone who has perused popular firearms related forums has likely encountered the dreaded gun snob who seemed to know it all. A list of his or her personally approved Mil-Spec AR 15 manufacturers was likely produced at some point during the encounter. If your AR doesnt happen to be from one of those listed companies – you are ill prepared and will likely die as a result of your “jammomatic” not operating properly. In most cases, the list provided includes very reputable companies that do in fact produce high quality ARs. Does that mean they are the only companies that make quality guns of that genre? I think not. Continue reading Milspec = Quality? Guest Post by Daniel Shaw→
250 bucks and The Bomber (my old Chevy… because it sounds just like a B-24 Bomber) is ready for another trip over Berlin. Or into Town. What really hurt was the 80 bucks to fill the tank.
