I’m watching, listening, and reading the news coming in from around the country and the world… I’m seeing the whole world going to hell in a handbasket. And I just don’t care anymore. I’m seeing Mankind’s ability to be inhumane to fellow man. Our Government’s Puppet Theater to keep the blissfully ignorant and gullible occupied while they run us into the ground. The seeds of war spread and taking root around the globe. I’m just not caring much anymore about all of it. Nothing is surprising me about how bad it’s getting. I really don’t care anymore.
All I care about is taking care of, and protecting my loved ones. Nothing else matters.

I can relate, completely.
There is only just so much catastrophe any of us can see and still remain confident. I’m still hopeful but I’m also planning for bad times.
That’s the old Army motto right there. Prepare for the Worst, Hope for the Best. I believe the same thing.
I’m at the same point. If SHTF we simply leave the city. These crazy dillholes can fight among themselves for the scraps. As long as my family and closest friends are safe the rest can do whatever they want.

At this point…. Yup.
I was day dreaming at work today thinking the exact same thing. Take precautions to protect my family from anything that might happen, then sit back and watch the fucking show. Since I work for the DOD, as a civilian, I have some of the best seats in the house.
World peace made easy.
Any politician who declares or approves any military combat operation, as a condition of their approval, must kill themselves.
This ensures that anyone who believes a cause is so noble that people should die for it, is the first to do so.
Of course we should have a special branch of the military dedicated to assisting them in their commitment.

I’m digging this idea… it has merit.
I’d be up for them doing seppuku, or at the very least putting at least one of their family members on the front lines in any operation involving “boots on the ground.”
