Crusader LEO .308 CETME Battle Rifle

The next Crusader LEO Project Rifle we are currently thinking about is a the CETME.  There are a lot of options out there for the CETME and they have a good reputation and a following.  And the CETME would gain huge benefits from the Slipstream ST-1 Process.   Options would be custom color, railed handguards and a collapsing stock.  This will be a very smooth, very reliable .308 battle rifle starting out for under a grand.  Even with the collapsing stock and railed guards, still very reasonable.   So for you guys that can’t afford a Broadsword or have an aversion to an AR Type weapon – This is the gun.  HK liked the so much, they took it and it became the G3.

What do you guys think?

Variable Power

I was looking at my rifles… and I noticed something that got me thinking.  All my rifles tend have scopes that are variable powered, but they are always left on the same power setting.   I never adjust the magnification power.  All the midrange scopes are all on the highest setting, the high powered scopes are all the midrange setting.   And I never move them… never change them.  That’s just how I shoot them. .308 Range Ups in MOA

I had posted this on my Facebook page… thought I would hit it here too for those guys asking about .308 stuff and for those guys getting into .308’s.  This is generally what the US Marines teach their Snipers, and what I learned at LRI.  You and your .308 set up might be different.  But these will get you in the ball park.  You will still have to get out there with your rifle, your Data Book, and a Spotter to help you, so you can find your scope’s dope at each interval… but this little road map will help you get there. A 3 rifle battery for sale or trade for a bike

I need a motorcycle.  This isn’t a “want” anymore… I need one.  Bad.  I gotta have a bike.

I’m putting up 3 of my favorite, best shooting rifles, for sale or trade so I can get a bike.

1.   A Remington 700 Stainless CDL .223 with a Nikon Monarch scope on it.  Yes, this the new new one I just got.

2.  The Savage model 12 with a Leupold VariX III in .22-250.  Harris bi-pod.  Serious accuracy and was my best Coyote Murder Weapon when I was hunting them.  Use Hornady 55 grain V-Max loads and nothing is getting away from it.

3.  This one shows how serious I am… Savage 10FCP topped with a Vortex Viper 6.5-20×50 Mil Dot scope and a Harris bi-pod.

2500 bucks for all three or for a decent cruiser style motorcycle 750cc’s or bigger.   If you have a nicer motorcycle… I’ll throw in a couple more guns.  Another reason, I have got to have a second vehicle.  My truck is the only vehicle we have.  The wife can drive it when she’s staying out in the country… but when I need to come into town, I need something more economical anyways…  and I bike is impossible to beat for that.  I gotta have one.

Breaking in a Broadsword

WeTheArmed.com’s Nightcrawler brought out his new rifle.  A Crusader Broadsword, built custom to his specifications.  There is a thread about it on WTA, and I’ll let him tell the story there.

The Crusader Broadsword, at the range, ready to roll.

The rifle feels and handles even better than it looks.  It’s accuracy was impressive even without zeroing the ACOG.
Overall I am extremely pleased with our Broadsword rifle.  It’s not finished, but the potential is there and it’s impressive.
