The USS Enterprise
There should always be a USS Enterprise in the US Navy… because we’ve always had one. Well, mostly, but that’s besides the point. I read the news with great sadness that the current USS Enterprise was to be decommissioned and scrapped.
There is a Petition. Sign it for what it’s worth. But more importantly, contact your Senators… all of them for your State.

I’m going to pass on seeing this movie. I have to.
You see… I watched Starship Troopers. I watched Battlefield Earth. Left the theater with teeth clenched, fists balled up tight, and tears in my eyes. Hollywood ruined a couple of my favorite books.
I didn’t read comic books as a kid, I read thick novel of epic scale. The comic kids have had it easy. Ironman. Captain America. You don’t have be humiliated saying you loved reading it… Or looking at the pictures as the case may be. But saying Starship Troopers was your favorite book is tantamount to saying you eat boogers. Those films of my fondest memories were so bad… I just can’t do this again…

Bears in the woods.
BYU conducted a recent and poorly conducted study of firearms used in bear attacks. Just having a gun isn’t enough. A. You have to have a gun and ammunition capable of stopping a bear. B. You have to know how to use it. That requires training.
The news report in the Trib makes mention that people don’t practice in a realistic manner… That part is very true. Just punching paper isn’t training.
The key in a sudden bear attack scenario is an accurate first round hit made fast. Very fast. You have one shot and no time to take it. Thus is the 21 foot rule to the extreme.
Practice with your bear gun from slung on the shoulder, snapping the gun off and breaking that shot accurately. The time to strive for is about 1.5 seconds.

Rush called a spade a spade. He was absolutely correct… perhaps a bit rude about it at worst but correct nonetheless. Why should others pay for her sex? I find the woman to be disgusting.
As far as health insurance goes, most don’t offer dental… Can we get dental first before

The National Firearms Act
We need to toss out the NFA. It’s rubbish and completely useless.
Smoothbore handguns are illegal… But the Taurus Judge is okay.
Shotguns shorter than 18 inches are the spawn of Lucifer, but a 16″ .45-70 is perfectly fine.
Calibers larger than .50 are bad… But you get exceptions left and right.
Full auto is a no-no, but Slide Fire stocks are good to go.
None of this makes any sense. It’s just stupid… Like all national gun laws.
I can’t sell a .22 pistol to someone from across a line on a map, even if they live in the same valley… State line… But I can sell them all the AR-15, .300 Ultra Mags, or tactical shotguns that they could ever want.
The laws don’t make any sense… But we have to follow them. Laws written by the most ignorant if people about things they know nothing about… But they are still laws. The Shoulder Thing That Goes Up.
We need to remove the NFA and all National Gun Laws.
