We are saddened to learn the news of the passing of John Noveske. He was killed in a motor vehicle accident in which the details are still being investigated.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his Family and Friends.
John raised the bar in the AR-15 business and the gun industry as a whole. There are few individuals who had so much influence. He will be missed.
I hadn’t had any since I did Patrol work in Virginia. But late at night, or more accurately, very early in the morning, I’d stop by a place in Richmond for dinner.
Sometimes we’d gather at Vito’s near the University for some zero hour Italian food. Pizza, Stromboli, whatever was going down it was all good. But sometimes the night was not a good one. Sometimes bad things happened that would break your soul and your heart and you would lose your faith in humanity. At those times… I’d get something different.
Chicken and Waffles.
The combination may sound like an odd one, off the cuff. But it’s good food. Good solid grub that can make you feel right enough to go back out and face the world again. Simple fried chicken, done well, with thick waffles covered in butter and syrup. You eat them together, or if you like chicken then the waffles. It doesn’t matter… just get them in your belly.
It was a long time since I had the meal.
The other day my wife and I went to “Winger’s”. I was told that they offered it, and that’s what I asked for. It was good. Filling, as the dish is supposed to be. Boneless chicken breasts, fried to perfection… juicy inside.
This was some good soul healing food right there. This was our New Year’s Day dinner… and it was good. A good way to start off 2013.

David Gregory’s story just keeps getting better. So NBC asked permission to show the Magazine, the DC Police said No, and they showed it anyways, because they could not have just shown a video clip of one of these mags in action, David Gregory obviously HAD to have one illegally to hold up to make his point.
NBC needs to be fined, and David Gregory needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extend of the Law. A. To show the Liberal Media that they are not above the Law. And B. To show the Liberal Media that the Law its self is rather stupid. A Year Sentance… for a Box with a Spring in it. Maybe then guys like David Gregory will think that maybe just perhaps the Magazine is not the problem. We can hope.
Already though… I don’t think much will come of this. Because the Police are “Investigating”. That right there tells us nothing is going to happen. Because David held it up, declared what it was… Confessed to the Crime. And The Bronze has really done nothing of it that to say they are “Investigating”. What they should have done is made an Arrest.

Then I took a long soak in a Jacuzzi, and now I’m watching a Firefly Marathon. So I’m having a great day. My boys and bride are living it up too. Pizza, games, having fun…
