My sons and I were discussing current events today and the subject of Printable Guns came up. Along with other topics such as how most new tech is driven by the porn industry….
So, were talking about the 3D printers will one day combine printing circuits which will allow you to print a drone, and the controller for it. And print your own robot…. And once the porn industry gets a hold of it, you can take creeper pics of some hot chick you saw, then go home and print her as a Lovebot to molest… Or download a celebrity.
Back to the gun issue. ITAR shutting down the plan for a 3D printable gun is the government building sandcastles in front of the coming tide. It’s futile. The cat is out of the bag. And since schematics and detailed plans are already out there for most any type gun… The only issue is one of material science. And instead of printing a gun, print molds to make guns out of better materials.
Colt started out with a wood carved revolver… Now look at it all. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next.

There Can Be Only One?
I see it happen all the time. And it’s sad. At the gun counter, there lay two beautiful guns. One perhaps a little flashier, one a little more duty oriented… and the guy looking at them is terribly conflicted. You see, he’s been fed a lie all his life and now it’s become a moral dilemma for him.
It’s a trick question. The correct answer is BOTH. You don’t have to pick just one. And honestly, if there is an moral question here, it’s that you believe you can’t have and love both. You have more than one kid, you can love them all, right? You own more than one Motorcycle, you can love each one for their respective qualities and that doesn’t diminish one or the other.
So when you are looking at those guns and having a hard time deciding… Get Both.
They can both be your huckleberry. You don’t have to pick just one. THERE CAN BE MORE THAN ONE!
Okay, now say you do have a heart large enough to love both. And a Visa Card that winked and nodded that “It’s alright”… and you go for it. Know this… You may still fill out the same ATF Form 4473, but the dealer then has to fill out another form. All the same information… what guns and their serial numbers, and all your information… and that form is either scanned and emailed, or faxed directly to the ATF. They have to do this if you buy more than one handgun within 7 days. You can bet the ATF is keeping that information. Putting it all in a database. I’m not saying this is “Registration”. But it’s registered. You might want to space those guns out a little. Take one home. Then 10 days later, take the other one home. The ATF can already go to the shop and look at and copy the 4473’s… but at least they are not getting them sent directly.
Who Done It.
The last several incidents, before there has even been an accurate body count, or wounded people getting to the Hospital… The Major Media has instantly jumped to announce that the Bad Guy was a Right Wing Extremist. And a lot of other people I know said the same thing in this Boston Bombing…
This tells me that these guys, and The Media, do not know who Right Wing Extremists are. During these times, the Right Wingers tend to be stuck at work, so look at the time… if it’s in business hours… it’s probably not anyone that’s Right Wing. Let’s look at who does what for a moment… From the historic perspective of the incidents in recent years.
If it’s a Random Bombing or a a Bombing at a public event… It’s probably Muslim Extremists.
If it’s a Random Shooting in a Gun Free Zone… It’s probably a Liberal Democrat.
If it’s blowing up a Government Building… THEN it’s probably a Right Wing Extremist.
We did have one Right Wing Extremist that did something horrible. But look at his target. A Federal Building. He was attacking the Government. And that was only 1 incident, and that was back in 1995. The movie WATER WORLD came out in 1995, come on. Of course the Media types like to bring up our one and only jackass out all the time. They also like to bring up the Crusades as evidence that Christians are horribly violent people… but that was in the middle ages when everyone was horribly violent. We’ve moved on. These days when Right Wingers attack, it’s with Facebook images and Quotes. It’s with Lobbyists and Grassroots political action to get people to contact their Representatives in Washington DC or at their State Level.
So really quick:
If it was a bomb – it was the Muslim Extremists.
If it was a Shooting – it was a Liberal Democrat.
Quick Update: If it was something nasty sent through the mail, like some Toxin… it was also a Liberal Democrat.
Okay, let’s look at these two groups. Muslim Extremists and Liberal Democrats. What do these groups have in common?
1. They both have Self Control issues.
2. They both insist that if they don’t like what you are doing, they have the right or obligation to do something about it to stop you.
What does a Right Wing Extremist have to do with these guys? Not a damn thing. They have other traits.
1. Right Wingers just want to be Free and left alone.
2. If a Right Winger doesn’t like what your doing… We don’t do it with you.
Yet the Major Media outlets all seem to want to make Right Wingers the bad guys. We are somehow a threat to them. Well, this is no mystery… because the Major Media are all Liberal Democrats and they have an agenda.

Etched Dates
Some places in this nation are banning magazines. Simple boxes with springs in them that use the same high level of technology found in Pez Candy Dispensers. In some of these places you can keep the magazines as long as they were made or acquired before the ban. So it was said that you have to have dates etched on them. But so many magazines out there in the world with no dates. This is of course a bullshit requirement and unenforceable. So I have a suggestion…. here’s the date to etch:
July 4th, 1776.

First of all I would like to say thank you for filling my email with all this spam email.
Second, I am not sure where you got this blanket email from to send out as spam, but please stop it.
Third, The manufacturer is not the one you need to convince.
You need to convince the law enforcement agencies and the common people about their mistake in electing these officials and have them removed. Again NOT the manufacture.

I’m sure New York will reward your loyalty by ordering enough Armalites to keep you in business, because the rest of us want nothing to do with you if you don’t sort this out pronto. With all due respect…
Some time after this email went out, the President of Armalite responded on Arfcom:
Thanks for posting this email. I just received a concerned telephone call about it, an email from the staffer who stimulated the mail.
I think a bit of clarification is in order.
The root of the matter is a HUGE series of inquiries by both email and telephone asking ArmaLite to cut off sales to New York and other states which deny its citizens the right to own our rifles, as several other firms have done. Some of the contacts have been duplicates of others and some were so redundant that they appeared to be spam. Many of them have been rude and I’m afraid one of my staffers thought that he was responding to a spammer and was more terse than he should have been. Once he realized what happened he came to me and apologized.
My purpose here is to pass on his apology from the corporate level and to answer the initial question: What is ArmaLite going to do?
ArmaLite is continuing a policy put into place when California first banned our rifles. That policy remains:
1. We will not sell to those states which deny it’s honorable citizens the right to own ArmaLite’s.
2. We do not halt sales to individual officers even in problematic states. I am a former Police Officer myself, and the staffer who stimulated the recent anger is a currently serving one. We are well familiar with the fact that most rifles serving Police Officers are purchased by the officers themselves, and that they shouldn’t be punished for the actions of their political elite.
We consider sales to those sate subdivisions which are not engaged or potentially engaged with disarming its citizens. DNR and Forestry Departments, for instance, sometimes serve in remote areas that conceal drug farms and their officers deserve good hardware.
3. We will not sell to those lower political subdivisions that deny their honorable citizens the right to own ArmaLite’s. Chicago, for instance, prohibits its citizens from owning ArmaLite’s within the city limits so we make no effort to sell into that city. We have many friends on the Chicago Police Department and have continued to sell to them individually.
Our observation is that most County Sheriffs disagree with banning sales of our rifles and many publicly refuse to enforce such laws. We sell to those departments and to their Deputies, but will not sell to those County departments headed by Sheriffs who would deny their citizens the same rights.
In short, Americans need not worry that ArmaLite is selling to those who betray them.
As you can see by reading posts on the topic, some readers have been harsh with their criticism of ArmaLite. It was in response to this atmosphere that my staffer reacted harshly. He’s come to me and apologized and I personally am passing my own apology along with his.
But don’t be mistaken, ArmaLite is strongly involved with both personal, corporate, and political efforts at the State, National, and International level to protect our civil rights. And we’ll continue to support your shooting needs as the situation moves forward.

Okay, after reading Mark’s response a couple times, I’m glad that they didn’t “Recoil” the situation. I’ll take his explanation at face value.
Pending Legislation in Utah
There are two key Bills pending with the Utah State Legislation right now. Specifically HB114, and HB 76.
The first is the Second Amendment Preservation Act.
This bill declares that the regulation of firearms is reserved completely to the state and provides penalties for the prosecution of anyone attempting to enforce federal laws to the contrary.
What that means is Utah can stop and could prosecute any Federal Agent attempting to enforce an unconstitutional Federal Law. This gives serious teeth to the letter the Utah Sheriff’s Association sent to Obama. Basically the State is backing up it’s Sheriffs. This is a very good thing.
The second is Concealed Weapon Carry Amendments.
This bill would give Utah “Constitutional Carry”. Also known as Vermont Carry. This means quite simply, if you are legal to have a gun, you can carry it concealed if you are over 21. No Concealed Carry Permit required in the State of Utah. Looking the bill over, you would of course still need a Permit if you cross State Lines.
What I’d like to see here is a line that says something to the effect that Utah would honor other Constitutional Carry States Citizens rights, if that state honors ours. For Example if you are from AZ, you could come to UT and carry concealed if UT residents could do the same in AZ. A Constitutional Handshake if you will.
What’s amazing about HB76 though is that it’s sponsored by John Mathis. The guy I ran against for public office and destroyed in the debate in Moab. (Not my opinion, that’s what I was told after the event by several residence of Moab) John has been just about completely useless up until this point. But him sponsoring this bill… I’m impressed. Honestly, I’m shocked. I was planning on running against him in the Republican Primaries next time… but really, if this passes, I wont have to.
Now, if he will just remove the law about it being illegal to fish from horseback…
