You guys are of course well aware that I’ve been packing a 1911 a lot lately. Let’s clarify just what a lot lately is. About 3 days a week I’ve been packing my ATI 1911 Commander. I’m pleased with it. But the rest of the time, I’m packing my Glock 23. Still.
Reason being, there is no doubt or question about the Glock. It’s going to be there if I need it, and it’s going to do just what I need it to do. Simple as that. Also, it’s packing as much ammo in one mag as the 1911 packs in 2. That’s a bonus. Pretty much, the Glock 23 remains the perfect carry gun.
I’m tired of hearing from Liberals that Bush was such an idiot. Bush graduated with an MBA from Harvard. Unless you did the same or equivalent, STFU. “But Bush was a drunk in college.” Okay… Let’s go there. Let’s say that’s true. Bush did better drunk than his critics did sober… so again, STFU.
To many guys go out to a Big Gun Show, and think they are going to fall on an old under valued classic and flip it for a mint. Guys, just because the gun is old and rusty, doesn’t mean it’s valuable. No, Dillinger did not own that gun.
We finally got in one of the famed Springfield Range Officer 1911’s. The simplicity and plain appearance belies the nature of the gun. It’s truly a Sleeper… a Q Ship. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
I’ve been called a “Gun Expert” many times… Even by guys like Massad Ayoob. I’m no such thing. Guys, no one is a Gun Expert. They might be an Expert on a certain branch or field of the Shooting Culture… but no one is an expert on all of it. I’m not Expert.
I’m an Enthusiast.
You can’t go to a college theatre class without seeing someone doing “The Variations on the death of Trotsky”. I wonder how long it’s going to take for someone to rewrite it to star Osama Bin Laden.
Because seeing an Axe sticking out of his turban would be hilarious.
16 hours to do decide on if he should have the SEALS go get Bin Laden.
Really, 16 Hours? What was there to think about? Target Number One, and he had to think about it for 16 hours? Yeah, I’m glad he made the right choices, but 16 hours tells me he had a lot of conflicting opinions on the operations. And yet he is milking the credit for it as much as possible. The jackhole.
Congratulations to Larry Correia… he just sold the TV rights to MHI. I think a TV show is likely. Larry first gave me word of this at SHOT Show while on the way to get some chow… he said that it was in the works, but nothing finalized. Well, now it’s a done deal. That’s awesome.
