Required Reading: The Book of Two Guns.

The Book of Two Guns, by Tiger McKee.  “The Martial Art of the 1911 pistol and AR Carbine”

Tiger sent me an autographed copy of his book.

It’s a very interesting book.  I’ve not seen a book like this in years.  It’s not just written by Tiger, but its actually written by Tiger.  As in Hand Written.  Pen and Ink.  The man has very good handwriting I have to say.   This makes the book very personal, and you can hear his voice as you read it… that slow, calm, southern drawl.

More importantly, this is a very good look at the use of these weapons… and many principles carry over to other weapons as well.  So Don’t think if you roll with Glocks and AK’s you wouldn’t get anything out of this book.  I’m considering this book to be Required Reading.

  1. Didn’t I just see Tiger on an episode of “Sons of Guns”? He sure seemed like he knew his way around that range they went to at the end. I may have to pick this up. Thanks, Ogre.

    1. Ogre, I’ve been reading this book off and on since last month and love it! I don’t own either an AR (used them in the Army, though) or a 1911, but have found a TON of useful information in it that applies to firearms training in general. I can’t wait to go back and re-read it so I can highlight sections or make my own notes/comments.

I’m not so sure about his opinion on the shotgun, though.

  2. I’ve had the book for a while.
Need to go back and re-read it.

I have seen just one episode of Sons Of Guns. Tiger was on it testing the Katana ARs that Red Jacket is building for him.
