Unified Front

Rob Pincus as written an article that has had me thinking ever since I read it.  You guys need to read this. Because this is important.

At what point do people step beyond the protection of the “Unified Front” clause of the RKBA Movement?

As usual, Rob is Spot On.

We can not bend our will to satisfy Fud’s and Fence Sitters.  This is an All or Nothing affair.  We give up anything today, it’s giving up everything tomorrow.  We need to police our own.  And I’m happy to see that the NRA has stepped in.  Like them or not, the NRA is our 800 Pound Gorilla, and when they lead, things happen.  The NRA called for a Boycott of gun show, because Reed Exhibitions banned AR-15 rifles from this gunshow.  As a result, they cancelled the show.
Some folks may be upset because of this.  Because they don’t like, or don’t care about AR-15 rifles.  But this is about far more than the AR-15.  Your Browning BAR in .30-06 is next.  Your old Browning Hi-Power is next.   And it’s not the gun.  Look at Diane Finestien’s “List”.  Look at those companies.  Thousands of good hard working Americans, our Brothers and Sisters, will be out of work.  I’m sorry some of you didn’t get to go the gun show to find new butt-pads for your “Kicks like a Mule” .264, but this is more important.
Cheaper than Dirt needs to feel the crunch too.  Those smug bastards were at SHOT SHOW.  They were not treated well by many.  Weak of Will, opportunistic price gougers… I’ve ordered from them in the past, but will never again do so.  And neither should you.

The AR-15 is a rifle Americans should be proud of.  It’s the Semi-Auto version of what our Military uses.  America has a long tradition of it’s Citizens owning and using the same rifle that our Military uses. After WWII thousands and thousands of used and surplus military rifles were turned to public sale.  There was even the Department of Civilian Marksmanship which sold rifles at a very low price.  (Now that is a privatized organization) I remember looking at old newspapers that advertisements for these surplus guns for 10, 25, 50 dollars.  An M1 Garand for fifty bucks, and a 1911 for 25 dollars, which left enough out of a hundred for some ammo.
But now we cant deal with our new crop of Vets and Citizens owning our military’s rifle?  This makes no sense to me.  The AR fires are around that is far weaker than that of the M1 Garand.  The Garand has been used not just for War Fighting, but for hunting everything in North America, from Deer to Elk to Moose to Brown Bear.  It’s a .30-06.  The AR-15 fires .223 Remington, a cartridge that comes in boxes with pictures of Rodents printed on it.  Yet the AR is the font of evil?

The prejudice against the AR-15 is based on Ignorance, Fear, and a huge case of “It doesn’t effect me”, well, let me tell you… It does effect you, and it will effect you a great deal if the Democrats get their way.  Your shotgun will be too powerful and you don’t need that much power to kill a little bird.  Your deer rifle will be labeled as a Deadly High Power Sniper Rifle that you Assassinate Bambi’s Mother with.  They will take away everything.  They have said themselves that this is their intent.  They have said that more than a few times.  They had even tried to ban any rifle round that can defeat police body armor – which is in fact, every rifle round.  They want our guns.  All our guns.

MOLON LABE.

  1. Your Garand will be next on their list. “We banned the AR-15, why isn’t the much more powerful, armor piercing M1 Garand banned??? IT USES REAL CLIPS!”

  2. Yes, stand together. If you’re reading this, this gun grab business DOES affect you and don’t fall for the liberal lies about “reasonable regulation”. They’re after all the guns no matter what they say, this is just another step.

Obama and Biden’s bodyguards will have to give up their actual assault weapons before we give up a single semi-auto utility rifle.

  3. Their ARE shotguns on the F’in (feinstein) list. The LAW and SPAS 12 are on it. They fire the same round as your 12k over and under and hold the same amount of rounds as your precious extended Wingmaster. The foot IS ALREADY in the door.

  4. Color me cynical but I suspect one reason the NRA is getting more aggressive is because of that French nobleman, Count de Monay. They’ve had a lot of donations an new members come aboard because of the Democrat gun grab and I’m pretty sure they got quite a few letters and calls about what they wanted for their money. I can see the accountants telling the Fudds to sit down and shut up or the money flow and nice paychecks for the cadre will end.

  5. Unified front. Yes.

They don’t care about the illusory safety of peasants. They want to stigmatize gun owners and divide them before the final de-fanging of the population. This is not new and it’s not complicated.

  6. I haven’t run into a genuine, “those black rifles are evil but my bolt gun is fine” Fudd for a long time. I thought the Zumbo affair largely killed that mentality. As Pincus said, most gun owners understand that they won’t stop with the AR-15’s. Ogre, you work at a gun shop, do you see a lot of this from customers? I’m curious.

  7. The recent NY law has made some Fudd hunting firearms “assault weapons” so you would think they would finally get the hint and join the fight. So now, the Browning BAR w/BOSS (semi auto w/detachable magazine & muzzle brake) and the Remington 1100 Turkey (semi auto w/thumbhole stock) are 2 examples of NY’s assault weapons. Fudds beware…

  8. This is in reference to price hikes first scene by CTD on magazines. I worked in service station during peanut farmers administration and the second gasoline crunch. The owner had to have cash in account or on hand to pay for the next tanker of fuel regardless of how much the price of that gas had gone up. Many other weapon sites have also raised their prices due to the increase in demand as well as their cost of getting ,when available , replacement inventory. One major multi page advertisers in Shotgun News AK Korean mags 762 x39 in print ad are still at 14.95. but on line are now $29.95. Would also guess that wholesale prices have gone up from most of your stores suppliers since Decembers tragedy. Am not trying to disrespect anyone but just some things to consider. Stay strong.

  9. When they talk about hunting rifles, they are saying that hunting is a game. And the guns used for hunting are just toys. And if a toy turns out to be dangerous, it can be taken away.

  10. Lords of War
Another couple of massacres and of course, it is the gun that is at fault, not a faultering health system or human beings who pick up the gun, which until it is taken in hand and used, is as harmless as a smurf under a toadstool. The above link is to the first article I had published. And still a senseless debate goes on… until, as I heard once or twice years ago online, your classic old hunting rifle is classified as a “sniper weapon”.

Here in New Zealand we lose around 300 people a year on our roads. I refuse to refer to most of them as “accidents”, why? Because most involve excessive speed and/or drink. We lose on average less than a tenth of that number to firearms incidents, accidents or otherwise. No surprise which gets the attention.

God Bless Freedom… while it lasts.

    Onward.
