I like the idea of simply honoring carry permits, wouldn’t cost a dime and would be easy to implement. Additionally, streamlining the whole process of actually buying a handgun and storing it in the armory (at my unit at least we needed our CO’s permission to even buy a gun, ridiculous) is a must, as would having the armory open evenings and weekends. Also, Marines aren’t allowed off base in cammies.
