Gun Guy Code

I think we need to come up with our own code… Instead of outing ourselves by wearing Gun Company Logo stuff and all that related jazz.  We wear Fishing brand hats or something like that.  I’m into Motorcycling… So how about Adventure Touring gear?  Huh… Come to think of it, that’s not a bad idea at all.  It’s certainly tactical enough to make work, but looks like you are more interested in finding a bathroom, an iced tea, and a sammich so you can get back on the road/trail.

The Speed and Strength jacket called “Call to Arms” is a great ADV jacket that can work dual purpose for us.  And don’t you love the name?

  1. I could go for one of those. I’ll be needing something a little more suited to cooler weather than my mesh jacket soon anyway.

    1. Having slid down a highway in a Speed and Strength jacket, receiving no road rash on the upper body, and the jacket is still wearable – I can give them a full marks recommendation. The Call To Arms jacket is going to be mine.

  2. My secret identity is a mild mannered System Engineer so how about we all wear caps with a picture of Tux the Penguin in it.

    1. been running 12.04 for about 4 months now. It’s a little different from 10 but I am liking it well enough that windows has been totally banished.

  3. I actually think this is a fantastic idea. There’s plenty of CCW gear out there that looks like CCW gear. A monkey would know you were carrying. What about tactical quality gear that looks completely innocent? Instead of us wearing what is essentially police or security contractor gear…we have a whole set of gear generated toward us being just as well prepared but centered around blending in. George….
