I didn’t know I wanted higher taxes.

Obama is freaking up in the night.  No, I don’t want higher taxes, Mr. President… you jackass.  Since you’ve been in office, my income has been lower and the cost of everything has gone higher.  My savings are depleted and debt is rising.  All of this as a direct result of your policies.  Direct and tangible results of the Obama administration’s actions.

No, I don’t want to pay more.  I want this Administration to go away.  I can’t wait to Vote you jackasses out of office come November 2012.

  1. I’m still wondering where all those jobs that were supposed to come from the Bush tax cuts on $250K+ earners went. Remember all the Republicans told us that raising taxes on the top earners would KILL JOBS!!! but of course, those jobs have never materialized. The Republicans just wanted to secure their re-election funds.

The Democrats are no better, of course, the administration just wants to raise the debt limit so we can keep spending $125 billion a month and kick the problem down to the next guy. Thanks for the leadership, Asshat.

The political Duopoly is killing this country.

  2. Don’t worry, somebody in his administration is bound to open their mouth again about gun control soon enough, which ought to be worth at least some increase in your sales volume…

  3. As long as we keep voting in the two major parties, we will continue to get the same. It is time to go outside the box and vote for a change.

  4. What are you unpatriotic? You have to pay your fair share!

The government provides roads and schools, and police. These things probably never existed before the Government created them! Also things like space programs, art made of human waste, and experiments involving shrimp on tiny treadmills.

Without taxes how will you pay for tiny tread mills!!!

No government no roads, no cops, and no schools. Without the Government we would all be living in a dog eat dog post apocalyptic nightmare where people ride quad runners and have mow-hawks and shoot everyone for no reason because that is apparently human nature.

Besides there is a social contract, you agreed when decided to be born here to consent to the constantly changing rules, regulations, fees, and laws, in exchange for government services which may or may not be provided, and probably aren’t very effective when they are.

Service or no, you consented to all of them and agree to pay for them by continuing to live here. The only constant is that you will pay for them or else.

Even if you voted against Obama, and disagree with everything he stands for, you still agreed to all of his policies because the social contracts says the 51% of the people get to impose their will on the other 49%. Normally this is the logical fallacy argumentum ad populum but wen you add politics it becomes shut the hell up or we’ll arrest you or something.

If you don’t like it, you can just go somewhere else, because you don’t actually own anything, the government just leases it to you.

(This is the sort of thing you hear when you say something as silly as, why do we need political masters in our life?)

Semi-satire aside, I really don’t think anyone has the right to complain about being forced to pay for things they don’t agree with, until they give up on the idea of forcing other people do pay for things they do agree with.

    1. Don’t forget about teaching prostitutes in Communist China to drink responsibly.
If we don’t do it – who will?

      1. I don’t think that anyone could provide a comprehensive list of wasteful governmental spending.

The only person who even suggests we try is Senator Paul, who has been trying to get the Fed Audited for long time now. Of course he gets shut down every time, which to me demonstrates two things.
The government has no interest in responsible sustainable spending and you cannot fix the government by working inside of it.

My post was overly long though. I just wanted to present a conclusion, but preempt common objections to save time.

  5. You know what would be hilarious? If Wall Street banks used the Citizens United ruling to donate massive amounts of cash to the Obama campaign, in federally protected anonymity, with the TARP funds they took from every last hard working American.

Once you accept how corrupt and hopeless the entire thing is, you can move on to how hilarious some of this truly is.

  6. Americans want higher taxes is the new leftoid pravda, after an NPR hack deliberately misinterpreted a set multiple choice question on a budget poll.

They have apparently conned themselves into believing this crap. Of hope they can get 52% to believe this.

Yes, da Nile river now flows through DC.

  8. Harmon, Under Bush we had 5.5% to 6.5% unemployment throughout his entire term!! Business flourished. I know first hand. I’m a small business owner. The republicans just spent too much while funding, IMO two justified wars.

    1. And now we have 3 wars and higher taxes and more spending and the only Jobs created are Government jobs which really count as increased government expenditure.
