I’ve been there the past 2 years for shooting events and I have mixed feelings with their whole operation. Yes it’s a ginormous facility and they have just about every type of sbooting range, but I’m not 100% sure about the cadre as their attitude rubbed a few people the wrong way. They also shy away from training the disabled as they wanted to charge me out the ass for *special* training. I’m STILL trying to find a reasonably priced instructor willing to give me proper training around my disabilities.
If I had a location suitable for Training, I’d teach a class ever other week. But I’m not finding a location. I have a place I can shoot whenever I want… 800 yards. But I can’t hold a class there. Existing ranges are very expensive and most of the income from teaching would just pay for the range and insurance, leaving not enough left for a box of ammo.
Yea, unfortunately teaching without a range is so expensive that it’s a labor of love rather than a money making opportunity. Also Moyock is so far from everywhere that it will discourage a good number of people from doing a 1 day class.
