July 31st, Saturday, 2004: Morning:
The basic fundamental
ideological differences between the Democrats and the Republicans.
Before I begin this simple comparison, let me preface this with the
explanation as to why I need to make this comparison in the first
place. Too many people have said “Ah, the Democrats and the
Republicans… they are so much alike now, there is no difference!”
Sadly that is actually partially correct in too many areas. But there
is a distinct fundamental difference between the two that goes beyond
“Liberal” and “Conservative” and I am going to point these things out
to you in as clear and as blunt way that I can. So after any young and
new voter or an undecided independent reads this you will be able to
make your own judgment call as which way you really want to vote
instead of just throwing up your hands and saying that it doesn’t make
any difference. As you will see, there is a huge difference.
Religion:
The Republicans are generally more religious. Most are believers in a
Judaeo-Christian faith, even if they do not regularly attend church.
The Democrats take a dim view of religion. They believe that the
believers are fools. They believe that faith in any religion is the
result of gross ignorance and gullibility, and that religion is nothing
more than a way to control a population. Yet the Democrats are not
above using religious tokens as a means of attracting faithful people
to vote for them.
Abortion:
The Republicans are generally against abortion. Especially the
practice of “Partial
Birth Abortion”. Because Republicans generally come from a
background with greater emphasis on basic morality, they find abortion
to be abhorrent. The Democrats on the other hand, since they scoff at
even those most basic levels of morality have no problems at all with
abortions, even the monstrous “partial birth abortion”. The very
essence of human life means nothing to them. The rights of the
irresponsible mother are far greater than the rights of the innocent
life she helped to create.
Embryonic Stem Cell
Research:
The Republicans are against this form of research as it involves the
destruction of a human embryo to harvest the stem cells. (see
Abortion) The Democrats are all for it as a newly formed embryo is a
nice convenient source of stem cells. Yet the Democrats go to great
lengths to avoid using the words “Embryonic” or “Embryo” as that is a
great turn off to the greater majority of conservative people who might
vote for them. Many scientists and researches themselves have called
Embryonic Stem Cell Research a “junk science” because there is little
evidence that it can actually deliver the promises that the Democrats
are making about it. The Democrats have campaigned that this is
potentially life saving and desperately needed and have argued this as
a matter of Religion vs Science… Basically hinting that if you are
against this research it is because you are Amish and need to jump back
into your horse drawn wagon because you are afraid of science and are
living in the past just because you don’t want to destroy human
embryos.
Military:
To the Republicans the military is their baby. They have a good
understanding of what it is for and how best to use it. They have a
belief that for America to stay free and independent, we have to have a
strong military. The Democrats on the other hand flat out dislike the
military as a whole and believe all military spending to be a waste
unless it is spending in their own respective home state and then it
becomes the Democrats looking after their own after many kickbacks and
lots of pork. The Republicans like pork too… but that is not the sole
reason for any spending, just a bonus or a perk. The Democrats think
that the military is a liability and safety and freedom will only come
with total submission to the United Nations. (Never mind that the US
has remained free and independent since it’s creation in 1776 because
we have had a strong military)
Gay Rights:
The Republicans don’t care what gay people do. They can do whatever
they want, as long as it doesn’t bother anyone else… just like anyone
else. The Democrats feel that Gay Rights are something to be thrown
into the faces of the public at large whenever possible because Gay
Rights are more important rights, because Gays are most often
Democrats.
Racial Issues:
The Republicans believe a person is free to achieve whatever a person
wants to achieve. The Democrats think that black people have to be
given everything and that all blacks need to be taken care of and as a
result all blacks should be Democrats… Never mind the fact that it was
a Republican President that freed the slaves, and it is a Republican
President that has a black Secretary of State and National Security
Advisor because they are just Uncle Toms.
Economics:
The Republicans have a good understanding of economics and what it
takes to make a strong national economy. The Democrats have no idea as
to how a successful business it run let alone how to make a national
economy run. To a Democrat, the national economy is something to be
milked for the purpose of benefiting everyone not working for the
companies being milked. They believe that a successful corporation is
a public asset and not the product or property of the individuals that
worked to build that company. Case in point, it was the democrats that
actually tried to use the “eminent domain” rule to take over a
profitable casino so those profits can feed the state. The Republicans
believe that a good economy is the result of the efforts of the people
where the democrats believe a good economy is the result of the efforts
of the state. To the Republicans such a thing smacks of Communism…
something that the Republicans worked very hard to defeat and do not
want to have to fight it again in this country.
Gun Control:
In general the Republicans believe that firearms in the hands of free
and good citizens are Liberty’s Teeth. Guns are a tool, and a right
protected by the constitution to keep people safe and protected… and
that the armed citizens are actually the 4th branch of
government that keeps the checks and balances against the other three
branches. The Democrats view private gun ownership as a obstacle to be
overcome in order to take full control of the population. They believe
guns are something that should only be in the hands of the government
and the social elites like Democrat politicians and the celebrities
that give them huge campaign contributions. As much as they say they
are against gun, the top anti-gun politicians all own guns – but you
can not, because you are a stupid sheep and will just hurt yourself
with them and the democrats will protect you. Never mind that
gun control is a proven way of increasing violent crime.
Personal
Responsibility:
The Republicans believe in the power of the “rugged individual”. They
believe that a man has the power to create his own destiny. That he
can take care of himself and is responsible for his own actions. The
Democrats believe that a man is something that needs to be cared for
because he can not possibly take care of himself. They believe that
the man is best suited for living in a flock and is not capable of even
making decisions for himself. The Democrats know better than he, so
who is he to question them? Should this pitiful subject make a
mistake, it is the fault of anything and everything instead of the
individual’s decisions and actions. To the Democrats there is no such
thing as personal responsibility.
July 30th, Friday, 2004: 1830hrs:
I caught some shit
from a Civic driving liberal about a half hour ago for driving my big
ugly Bronco.
Okay, let’s say that I wanted to be economical and environmentally
friendly. What are my vehicle options? Now, I’m married with five
growing boys and I’ve got 2 dogs. If we wanted to travel together,
what vehicle could I possibly get to fit us? Okay, now factor in that
Mini-Vans are totally out of the question because my dick wont fit
inside one. Also factor in that I like to get my vehicles a bit muddy…
off-roading through some harsh Utah Outback. Just give me an idea what
vehicle I should be driving here. The best I can come up with is a
crew cab F-250 Power Stroke. It’s not exactly eco friendly but it’s
more economical. Or maybe a Hummer in a 4 door pickup configuration.
I don’t think there is anything that is suitable outside of the truck
market. I guess I’ll just stay with the Bronco for now, thank you very
much. Fucking wanker liberal jackasses. The only thing that would
make these eco-wackos happy is if everyone drove a Lancaster style
horse and buggy… but not them because they need the Honda Civic to make
it to the next starbucks before they can empty the cup they already
have. Here is a thought for any Liberal asshat that might be reading
MadOgre.com right now. Mind Your Own Fucking Business. I don’t care
what you drive… who elected you to care about what I drive? MYOFB.
HOLY SHIT! There is a
new Exorcist movie coming out!
OMG. Just the commercial scared the hell out of me. If you have seen
the Exorcist at the theatre, you can understand why those little simple
notes can send chills up your spin like no other. If you haven’t, you
don’t know what I’m talking about here when I say that I wasn’t
watching the commercial until I heard that simple little musical diddy
that one never forgets. Ever. The hair on the back of my neck stood
on end. Which is weird because I shave my dome bald every other day…
but that was the sensation I had. Chills up and down my spine. I’m
going to break out my bible and kneel in prayer for awhile now. Okay,
so I can’t kneel cause of my knee, but I can still pray fervently.
Over what specifically, I’m not sure… but just thinking about The
Exorcist is unsettling to say the least. The new version here is a
Prequel that looks to be every bit as scary as the original. I doubt
I could stand seeing it in the theatre.
Heads up on a little
project I’m doing.
The OgrificationTM of the
Marlin 336CS. I had the hardware store mix my up a custom wood
stain that I have applied in no less than 6 coats, and over that 3
coats of clear gloss polyurethane. So far I’ve just done the buttstock,
and I’ll do the fore end afterwards. Looks awesome so far. I’m
thinking about doing the metal as well, but I’ll see how this looks
with just the wood finished as it is. The idea of using a stain
instead of paint is in case of a deep scratch. Paint would just get
scraped off where a stain will penetrate the wood and color the inside
as well. This rifle isn’t a safe queen. It goes out into what is
arguably some of the roughest terrain in the USA on a weekly basis.
Once this rifle is finished I’ll write a full review of it.

pass and they are okay and that they can be trusted. If Kerry was the
man in office now and doing what Bush as done, well, then it’s obvious
that Kerry would be hero to you guys yet since Bush is a Republican,
then Bush is a liar. Bull-Shit. But please… explain this to me. How
does this work? Seriously, try to explain this. I dare you.

If I want my knee (and
shoulder) to really get better. This
is what I have to look forward too. Very nice. Isn’t there a pill
I could take for this? Oh man… I think I’m going to be sick. Please,
someone just shoot me and put me out of my misery right now at this

Miss America beauty
pageants are now killing the talent portion of the contest. Figures. Just look at Paris Hilton,
who cares if a woman has a talent if she is hot, right? Not that I
really care, but this is kinda sad. When I first met my wife she was
in a beauty pageant, so sometimes we’ll watch one on TV and judge the
contestants. Laugh at the talents and all that. Anyways, we were
actually talking about this a few days ago. I had the idea that a
killer talent would be for a future contestant to learn the guitar and
then she gets up just wails like Joe Satriani. That would rock. But
too bad now. No more talent portions. America continues to get more
and more shallow as time goes on.
It looks like Schrade may have closed up shop. I’ve had a couple
Schrade knives in the past. They were not great knives, but they were
very competent blades for the money.
Okay, now it’s time
for my main rant of the day.
The militarization of law enforcement. Let me start off by saying
that I am all for our police having the equipment that they need… body
armor, weapons, whatever they need. But at the same time I am deeply
disturbed about the over use of all this stuff.
It seems every little department wants to become their own little
“Rainbow Six”. I’ve even heard a local officer here in my little town
say that he wanted an “MP10”. If a high speed, low drag, raid is
warranted, then by all means – go in with the guns up and do the job.
But how do the LE officials determine if such a raid is needed? They
don’t even bother with making such a determination – they pull the
trigger on the SWAT raids any chance they get. After all, a SWAT raid
is so much fun. They get to done all the Ninja Turtle gear and play
with the HK guns. Who wouldn’t want to do that?
But really, I have to ask this. What happened to the good old
fashioned police work? If your home is burglarized, who cares? SWAT
can’t roll on a burglary. My in laws have had the windows of two
vehicles smashed it, professional sound equipment, and a 20 foot flat
bed trailer stolen within the last 2 years. The police have done
absolutely nothing about any of this. Not one damn thing. They don’t
care about it. Seriously, they do not care. The officers acted as if
it was a great burden on them just to take the reports.
Let’s look at this case. Police work was thrown out the window in
favor of a raid. Any educated officer could have walked past and taken
a look and written off the complaint as ignorance. Instead, they
geared up and smashed their way in like a punch of fucking pirates.
Then they questioned the man on growing melons? WTF? Is there a
statute regarding contraband melons now?
Now where is the police work here? Excuse me if I do not consider a
Pirate Raid to be Police Work. Where is the Investigation? This
isn’t the only example of misuse of “police power”, it’s just a good
example. There are hundreds of such examples… and more every day.
The old Police Motto of “Protect and Serve” and been replaced with a
new mantra. “Never use a little detective work when overwhelming brute
force is available.”
If you are running a police department, instead of spending all the
money to outfit your SWAT team, maybe instead you should spend a little
money on fielding more Detectives. The Patrol Officers only want to
write tickets, and the SWAT Teams only want to play ninjas… we need
more cops who actually want to solve crimes. What happened to those
guys? I think Law Enforcement may have taken this swan dive a long
time ago. When the FBI was first allowed to pack guns, I think real
police work started to go out the window. The cop leadership no longer
want to use their heads and think something through… Instead of
rolling the SWAT team on a subjects home and giving them the chance to
barricade themselves… why not just have a couple guys wait patiently
for the guy to go out to his car and then nail him as he is getting
in? One guy to drive a car to block the driveway and another guy to
make the arrest. Simple. 2 guys. No one is hurt. No damage done.
No, instead they have to smash down doors and put everyone in the house
– including children – face down on the floors with their hands
zip-tied while the officers rampage around the house like a bunch of
ransacking looters… often when such a search isn’t even written into
the warrant. And all of it could have been avoided with just a little
effort at real police work.
All of this in the name of “Officer Safety”? When you have a Swat pup
with a shotgun to the head of an 8 year old, where is the safety for
the citizens? How come the police officer’s safety is so much more
important than the citizens?
What happened to our liberty? What happened to our Police? When I
grew up, the police were the good guys. Now they’ll raid your ass and
not even bother to check if they have the right address. I guess they
only solve crimes on TV nowdays.
Everything I’ve ever
said about the Liberals is wrong.
I’ll admit it.
Liberals are responsible for all the good on the world. I have
just been grossly mistaken. Sheesh. I’m surprised they didn’t take
credit for the flowers blooming in the spring time or the sun rising
every morning. Asshats.

JFK2 gave a very
rousing speech tonight to top off the democratic convention.
He sounded very confident, and assured and said a lot of
things that people could really get behind. It even made me think for
just a brief moment that maybe, just maybe, this guy isn’t that bad.
But then I remembered that the man speaking is John F’ing Kerry. It’s
very unfortunate that Kerry’s 19 year history in congress completely
contradicts all the goods he was selling in his speech. How dare he go
after Bush for not providing body armor for the soldiers when he
himself voted against the bill that would have given the soldiers the
armor they needed. I find it amusing that he was trying to come off as
more conservative than the republican incumbent and that he is strong
on defense. He contradicted himself in saying that he will never let a
foreign nation veto American self defense when he has promised so much
more UN involvement. It wouldn’t surprise me if he made Kofi Annan a
cabinet member. He has basically promised to make the USA one of the
UN’s bitches. But Kerry made some good and valid points, he had to.
It’s called putting lipstick on a pig. Or putting a ribbon on a turd
however you want to call it. But before anyone buy’s Kerry’s bullshit,
let’s remember a few things. He wants to disarm American citizens. He
supports abortions. He allows his own campaign people to chant “Bush is
a Liar” when he himself was calling for the war and even voted for it.
He is a flat out evil son of a bitch and every promise he makes to the
American people is nothing more than lip service for sake of getting
your vote.
Were Kerry to become the next President, it would be a major blow to
the United States. Kerry called for unity. The only unity the
Democrats want is for everyone to be dependant upon the Democrats.
Kerry is not to be trusted.
Register to vote.
Plan on voting and make sure you get out to vote this time if you
didn’t last time. Because it’s going to be a close one here. Every
Vote Counts. Not just the idiots in Florida… all the votes count.
Let’s kick Kerry to the curb. His getting the presidency would be a
total disaster.
Regarding
Pro-Choice/Pro-Child:
“Either they're giving you the choice, or they're once again
demonstrating the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party. Considering that
this is a party with more hot air than morals, it doesn't surprise me.
After all, they're the party that was for segregation, strongly, yet,
they pander to the black vote, and demonize the Republicans, who
ironically were their supporters. This is the same party whose leader
didn't seem to realize that the "sex" part of "oral sex" meant that he
was having a sexual relation. Or the man who threw down his medals,
yet kept some for his wall display, claims to follow the teachings of
the Catholic Church by going on Sundays, yet lives the rest of his life
in contrast to outright defiance of those teachings. The same party
who damned Trent Lott to hell for making a complimentary comment
regarding the late (former segragationalist) Strom Thurmond, while
making no big deal about Chris Dodd's praise of former Klan member Sen
Byrd. The Democratic party did well by picking their mascot. A jackass
suits them right, since many are, in fact, jackasses. Likewise, you'd
have to be a jackass to naively buy most of the things that fly from
their mouth. I guess if you try to camouflage it, some jackass will
buy it.” That’s why it’s okay to call Democrats Jackasses.

Swiftboat Veterans for Truth. These
are the cats that served with John Kerry, and they don’t seem to deem
Kerry as one worthy for the post of Commander and Chief. Lots of good
background information about Kerry’s service, including the story
regarding
his first purple heart. I know we have all heard it before, but
this is from the guys that were there. This is important stuff as he
is banking heavily on his Vietnam service. The fact that he serviced
his country is great. But considering what he did when he got home
completely voids it and in fact makes such service a mark against him
in my book. He has shown zero loyalty to his branch of service, zero
loyalty the people who served with him, and zero loyalty to the
military in general. And when I say zero loyalty, what I mean is
“going out of his way to take a giant shit on”. Kerry
is himself the biggest lump of shit that has ever held a congressional
seat. He is because of his Janus face, even a bigger lump of shit
that Ted Kennedy… and that is no small feat. In visiting the Swiftboat
site, take the time to read through the
FAQ page. It’s quite enlightening. My distain for Kerry grows
more each day. If
Kerry wants to be President, fine. But not of the USA.
Speaking of big lumps
of shit. Doug
Clifton and
Cleveland.com ranks right up there, along with the
State of Ohio for allowing this. They are publishing the names and
counties of those that obtain CCW permits. I find this to be very
low. I find this to be an invasion of privacy. Just because the
statute allowing the press access to the names of the CCW permit
holders, does not mean that they are allowed to violate those persons
privacy by publishing those names. Kudos for Ohio passing the law
allowing the permits, but to give those good citizens a backhand slap
like that is just completely asinine. The law should be amended ASAP
and Doug Clifton and his Cleveland.com and any other media outlet
there doing this should be taken to court. Doug Clifton should also be
taken to civil court specifically and personally.
My left knee.
Yesterday I was walking over some grass and caught my left foot on a
sprinkler head. I twisted it only a little bit. But evidently that
little turned out to be much worse than I thought. Last night I
was up all night in pain and all day it has been hurting to the point
that it damn near caused me panic attacks. Knee pain is a special sort
of inescapable agonizing pain that never lets you find a position of
comfort… much like back or head pain. Arms or feet… no problem… knee –
you are in hell. Well I was just able to grit my teeth long enough
(and after taking 4 Aleve) to make it in to a natural healing clinic.
I had acupuncture done to the knee and left the needles in for 15
minutes. They used a record number of needles BTW and hooked them up
to an electrical device that pumped electricity into my leg. I could
feel muscles twitching from the currant. But you know what? It
worked great. The pain went away even before the needles were all in.
I was able to walk/hobble easily back to my truck. There is now still
some residual pain… but it is greatly diminished. The swelling and
pressure in the knee is still intense. Repeated sessions will help
that, but at least for now it is tolerable pain and I’m no longer
freaking out about it. Just so you know, my left knee is gimped
good. Just like my right ankle and right shoulder. I’ll probably be
walking with the aide of a cane the rest of my life. This will prevent
me from running away from dangerous threats. Not that I would run
anyway. This is way I carry a gun. The badguys may run from me if
they are still able to after our encounter.
Multi-Tools.
Now I’ve seen another multi-tool that I like, the Gerber Recoil.
That’s a fine tool on par with the Leatherman Wave. But is it
rugged? Can one really torque on the tools? I want to get another,
but seriously, I’m at a loss. There are now so many good options on
the market. The Leatherman Super Tool has the most of my attention as
does a certain unit from SOG…. But now there is this Gerber Recoil and
I have to admit to liking the looks and the options with it.
I’ve read some twisted
shit before, but this takes the cake.
This has taken “elective surgery” a bit too far.

Wow, Senator
Edwards made a great speech at the convention.
People are going to be
talking about it for months… and others are kicking themselves, “Man,
too bad we voted for Kerry instead of this guy!” Very rousing. Very
motivating speech. Too bad it was all bullshit, lies and deceit.
Edwards is talking about expanding the military? WTF? Kerry and
Edwards have never voted in favor of the military! They have always
voted against anything and everything that they were there to vote on!
Given Kerry’s attendance track record and voting record, one would
think that Kerry only showed up specifically to vote against military
spending!
Now we have Edwards talking out of both sides of his ass here. Was
there anyone he didn’t try to sell votes to? The working poor, the
crack whores, the military families… He was pimping pretty hard the
idea that the Democrats will keep everyone safe. Too bad Bush is
already doing that and that Kerry and Edwards only plan is “We’ll be
better”. Right.
Increasing the size of the military doesn’t mean shit if you can’t use
those forces. Didn’t Saddam have like the 3rd largest
standing army? A lot of good that did him. Size, sometimes really
doesn’t matter. Doubling the size of the Special Forces? How does
that happen Edwards? See, this is what scares me about idiots with
power. They have no idea about the nature of the subject they are
talking about. It’s not about the number of Special Forces – it’s
about the quality of the special forces you are fielding.
Again, let’s look at Saddam’s most elite forces, the Republican Guard.
They were grease for the 1st Infantry Divisions tank
treads. What makes the special forces so formidable are the unique
Americans that make up those elite ranks. Special Forces needs to be
able to pick the very best of the best of the best, Sir! The
strongest, fastest, and the smartest. You water that down, your
special forces is nothing but another Light Infantry unit with a spiffy
arm patch. Edwards and Kerry doesn’t get that. They don’t get the
military at all. For Kerry it was just a political stunt. For
Edwards? That Ambulance Chaser has no clue.
I
don’t have the patience to go into all the bullshit, but like I said
before… Best Renewable Energy Resource Ever.
Kerry probably thinks
he is a man of the people.
At least wants us to think that he is a man of the people. In reality
he doesn’t even know who the people are. He
told a bunch of Wisconsin Hunters that he likes to hunt deer with his
trusty 12 gauge while crawling on his stomach. Now, I’m not a big
hunter… but I’ve been out hunting a few times. I’ve stalked deer with
Appalachian Hillbillies and I’ve stalked deer with Chippewa Scouts in
northern Wisconsin. At no time did we ever crawl on our bellies.
Mainly because it’s useless to do so… that and if you did, your head
would be below the level of the snow and you would never see anything
let alone a deer to be able to get to within shotgun range. Point of
fact, Kerry is a lying sack of shit.
These are not the only reasons to not vote for the Democrats. Don’t
take my word for it…

I can’t believe the Democrats are still on the “Bush Lied” kick.
Bush is a dishonest liar, but all the Democrat Leaders who had been
singing the song of kicking Saddam’s ass just get a pass. But since
Bush actually did it, now they have to change the tune. Bush didn’t
lie. Saddam had WMDs, we have tons of evidence of it. We even have
two trailers for making WMD’s. We even have two chemical weapon shells
(those are WMDs BTW) that were used as road side bombs. Now let me ask
you this… how the hell did the terrorists get two chemical shells? Had
to have got them from someplace. Part of a Saddam Stash perhaps?
We’ll find it in time. There is so much evidence that Saddam had them,
that you would have to be a complete idiot to think otherwise. Either
a complete idiot or someone who knows that Saddam had them and they
still have to sing the Bush Lied song because that’s the DNC Mantra.
Bush is as honest of a man as anyone else in Washington DC. Probably
more so than most. Most of the time, I think he is very honest. Kerry
on the other hand is far from it. Edwards seems to be more honest than
Kerry, but after the promises he made in his speech last night, I have
serious doubts. The only honest Democrat in Washington DC is Zell
Miller. Who is Zell endorsing? Bush. That speaks volumes. I caught
some of Zell’s words after Edwards’ speech and was impressed with what
he said. I was also disappointed in the way that the Media Asshat cut
him off. That was shamefull. I don’t know why Zell is remaining a
Democrat. He is more conservative than most of the Republicans in
office.
Something I’d like to
see… Ford
taking the newly redesigned F-150 truck and building a Bronco out of
it. Removable top, folding rear seat, short wheelbase. Simple.
Effective. Fun. Engine options should include a power stroke diesel.
It doesn’t have to compete with the Expedition… Call it an “F-150
Bronco” and just make it simple. Like a sports edition. Nothing
fancy. Why not? The Bronco was a popular rig, but Ford killed it to
make way for the Expedition… A bigger and heavier, more expensive
vehicle that they can name in line with the whole “E” adventure name
convention in which “Bronco” doesn’t fit. The Bronco is really kinda
like a big Jeep Wrangler when you have the top off. It’s a fun
vehicle. I love it. Seriously enjoy it more than any other vehicle
that I have ever had, bar none. It’s too bad that the Bronco is dead
lined. It’s a classic.
My poor folks out in
Virginia just got a brand new PC.
And within a couple days it fried. I keep telling them not to get an
Emachine, but now they are going to be on the 4th one.
Well, I guess I didn’t take much advice from them when I was growing
up, so now they are going to not take my advice now. Whatever. They
are adults, they can do whatever they like.
July 28th, Wednesday, 2004: Almost lunch time:
The Three Year Old
with a gun. I’m
a little bothered by this little trend I’m seeing. If you let your
kids near guns, someone will sic Child Protective Services on you, and
nail you to a cross. “A couple in Virginia has been charged with felony
child endangerment after a neighbor videotaped their 3-year-old son
playing with one of their guns.” The tot was playing with an unloaded
revolver, and I am not condoning that at all… but the reaction of the
state is a little extreme don’t you think? Factor in another story
where a 12 year old girl grabbed a shotgun and blasted a poisonous
snake. Same reaction by authorities. Is this the new anti-gun game
plan for these guys? “It’s your guns or your kids!” Scary.
If the Hampton Roads couple thought that the child was safe enough with
an unloaded revolver, then damn it, the child was safe. There are a
lot of things parents might disagree on about what is safe or not. Do
all these activities now have to involve judgment in court?
I
know some folks who hate canoes. A simple canoe. A little boat
powered by two people with a pair of paddles. Some would consider a
canoe on a still lake to be a wonderful way to enjoy a summer day, and
others would be so freaked out by the mere idea of their children on
that canoe, that they would suffer a loose bowel event. Who is right
or who is wrong? Trail bikes. Little mini motorcycles to scooter
around some dirt mounds and have a little fun. Again, I know people
have these things and let there children enjoy them all the time. Then
again I know folks who would wet themselves if their child said “I want
a dirt bike”.
Who is right or who is wrong about how to raise a child? What about
letting them play dangerous sports? Football or Rock Climbing? Isn’t
that dangerous for a child? What about rated R movies, junk foods, or
the age they can start dating? What kind of first car are you going to
get your new driver? An H2 Hummer? A Mustang GT? A Geo Metro? A
Motorcycle or Scooter? Are these things a parental unit can decide for
themselves or do we have to call Child Protective Services? Put the
“For the Children” bullshit down and think about one word for a moment.
“LIBERTY”. If the state has to step in every time some jackass has a
disagreement with how someone else is raising their kids, then I submit
to the group that we have lost the most very basic essence of liberty…
raising our own kids.
And another thing about this. I believe there was a Seinfeld episode
about this, where they videotaped a guy getting carjacked and just
watched… This “Concerned Neighbor” who videotaped the kid… if this
child really was in danger, why didn’t the lady put the fucking camera
down and go out there and safe the child? So really, I have to ask…
isn’t this lady negligent too? Or is this lady an evil whore who is
trying to get these people in trouble because she herself just doesn’t
like guns?

July 27th, Tuesday, 2004: Just before Midnight:
I saw a political
button today that confused me. It read, “Pro-Choice – Pro-Child”.
Just how the hell is a person Pro-Child while at the same time being
Pro-Abortion? That’s like being a violent pacifist or something. It
doesn’t work. You can’t say you love kids if you are in favor of
murdering them. What? You love the kids that survive the
scissors and vacuum tube?
See, this is the problem with the Democrats and the Modern Liberals…
they use sayings such as this repeatedly until the weak minded folks
stop questioning it. They like to use catch phrases and buzz words and
mix them heavily with whatever empty promise or hollow message they are
offering. Things that sound good on the surface and that you don’t
have to think about.
They are almost like hypnotists’ trigger words to order compliance and
make the subject cluck like a chicken or vote Democrat as the case may
be. A lie repeated and perpetuated long enough becomes the truth as
long as it is not questioned, and this is the Democrat’s battle
tactics. This and banking on a person’s short term memory. They like
to say things that sound good – but they can never hold up to a
rational and informed argument.
Democrats like to say they enjoy debate. But that is like saying Lions
like to hunt. Lions don’t like hunting… they like the killing and the
eating, but they don’t like the hunt. This is why Lions target the
sick, feeble, old or very young. Just like the Democrats.
For example, last night my beloved little 13 year old sister in law was
at a friends house who’s parents are “Staunch Democrats”. “Little
Sister” I’ll call her is a brilliant little lady. She reads
constantly. If she is not dancing, she is reading. She is the
smartest young lady I’ve ever met. She also takes an interest in
Politics. She knows what is up and what is bullshit. Well the Staunch
Democrats started debating her mercilessly to the point Little Sister
was in tears and had to call me for back up ammo. And I’m thinking
“Man, what chickenshit people to be ambushing a little girl!”
They of course did not want me to come over to engage the enemy
join the conversation, because they knew they couldn’t handle any real
opposition to their ideas. Just like a typical Liberal… fucking
cowards. Don’t want to face any truth and reality. (Btw, my Left Hook
is called “Truth” and my Right Uppercut is called “Reality”) Freaking
beating up on a little girl. That is despicable and low… even for a
Democrat. Then again, that’s how the Lions hunt. But I am proud of
Little Sister. She battled. She never gave an inch. I want to buy
her a copy of Ann Coulter’s book now.
Pro-Choice,
Pro-Child. That and all the other bullshit coming out of Boston right
now… If we
could harvest the methane out of this, it would be enough to spin the
turbines at the local power plant. Ladies and Gentlemen of The Horde,

heard the news about the beautiful young woman named Lori Hacking who
is claimed to be missing after going jogging.
My money is on the Husband, Mark Hacking and that he chopped his wife
up. If this was a game of Clue, I’d be calling “Mark, in the bedroom,
with a knife”. In the next day or two we will probably hear police
announcing Mark’s arrest. Bastard deserves to be put down like a damn
rabid dog. The cops are using dogs trained to find bodies out at the
landfill because Mark hacked the girl up and scattered the chunks in a
number of dumpsters… including chunks of bloody mattress which the
police have recovered along with a knife and great deal of other
evidence.

I was occupied with affairs of state all day. (I took my 5 boys
skating – I have a duty to make sure they have a kickass summer and
damn it, they are having it as best as I can give it to them!) I’ve got

July 26th, Monday, 2004: Lunchtime:
Ranger Report:
Some time early this morning I had looked out at Ranger and
he was fine. Barking at some horses and cows… his usual thing. Later
this morning Mrs. Ogre was going out to work and called through the
window, “Ranger is gone!” I hate those 3 words, not because I’m afraid
he’s gone and disappeared, but because he is up to something. So I
pull my boots on and walk out side. I look out and can see all the
cows in the back 40 all huddled together with the bulls looking pissed
off. Ranger’s handiwork. So I yell out and sure enough, there he is
bounding back to me with a big shit-eating grin. But as he
approaches, I notice something very wrong. His fur is the wrong color.
He is bright green! Oh man… does he STINK! That revelation hit me in
both barrels of my nose with a tangible force as he happily bounces on
me Tigger fashion. Ranger had been rolling in cow pucky… fresh,
pungent, and bright green cow pucky. And now a good deal of it is on
me too. “Bad Dog!” My oldest son comes out “Why is he green?” I just
grab Ranger’s collar and say “Go get the shampoo in my bathroom.” So
while oldest son runs off to get the sham-poo… I chain Ranger up to an
unmovable object with only about a 2 foot lead and then get the hose.
Ranger loves splashing through water, but he is not keen on the hose.
Well, his nightmare came true. I sprayed all the biggest chunks off
of him and soaked him completely. At first he tried to escape the
water, and after a few moments just stood there dejectedly. When the
sham-poo arrived I lathered him up good with a Suave conditioning
stuff. Wash, Rinse, Repeat. All over… his back, neck, legs, under his
chin, the top of his head, his haunches, his tail… it was like he was
dipped in a “honey-pot” bucket. When the lather stopped looking green I
repeated the cycle once more just to be sure. Ranger was soaked, I was
soaked, and the driveway was awash in green froth. Ranger gave himself
a class three shake down and then I brushed out his fur. “There you
go, Ranger… you are all clean and shiny!” He has been strutting around
nonstop since. Now that I am cleaned off as well, looking out at
Ranger I can see that he hasn’t stopped strutting. Funny dog. I
called The Bride and told her about all this and she said, “You two
deserve each other.” She might be right.
I think I’ll order some of this stuff here for Ranger.

That’s funny. No, it’s not as bad as Cheney saying “!(#*$
Off”, but it is a rude and hostile expression that is completely

real Teresa… who by the way still has not given up her tax records.
Something that is par for the course but Teresa thinks she is special.
Considering her wealth and her bank rolling everything for JFK2, I
would think this is something that should be looked into. And while on
this subject,
Iowa’s first lady lets some spew fly too… ripping on blacks,
southerners and easterners. Man… the Democrats are showing there asses
left and right. It’s almost as if they don’t want people to like them…

jet to go catch a baseball game and then get booed to death. Then one
of the announcers said “Well, all politicians get booed.” And the other
announcer said “Bush didn’t”. Ha! Classic. Heard this on Rush this
morning.

would have 26 bucks left over and would have a pretty decent
collection. I went for some nice rifles, some high end rifles… The R93
and Uzi kinda obvious… these are lust inspiring guns. Most of the
others are obvious choices, the M1 Carbine, Springfield 1903 and an M1
Garand… those are the required selections right there… but the real
interesting selection that might not click with Ogre in some people’s
mind – the CZ 550 Magnum. Especially in .458 Lott. Well, as far as
long brown guns go – The CZ-550 really pushes my buttons. Those are
some awesome rifles. And 458 Lott, that’s a potent predator getter
right there. Not sure what I’d really do with it, maybe do a moose
hunt in Northern Idaho or go for bears or something. Take it with me
to Norway to have over my shoulder looking at Polar Bears with good old
Stig. Or maybe just hang that sucker on the wall and let it look good
while being within arms reach after I get it sighted in. To be honest,
as much as I love the 550, it wouldn’t be a rifle I’d shoot very often.
My gun shoulder is the biological equivalent of a train wreck and even
12 gauge shotguns with light loads and thick recoil pads get really
sore after relatively few shots. .30-06 is about the upper limit of
rifle cartridges that I could tolerate doing a lot of shooting with.
So out of these rifle choices, the guns I’d do the most shooting with
out of this list would be the M1 Carbine, the Uzi, and the Ruger 10-22.

That is the look of a cheerful warrior after a successful mission.
DuckAckAss was not a warrior and wasn’t on a mission. That little
photo was taken while the tank was driving around a small field doing
circles like a kiddy ride. I know this as I saw the video of his
little stunt. So pathetic. Much like the rest of the DNC. BTW,
this guy in the photo is a US Marine and is now home from Iraq wearing
an eye patch cause he lost is eye thanks to some shrapnel or
something... If he was a Liberal, he'd have like 4 or 5 purple hearts
or something. Not this cat. He wants to go back as soon as
he can. Now that is the warrior spirit right there.
No wonder the rest of these so called "Word Leaders" want Bush to
loose. Because Kerry would reel guys like this back in!
Guys like this are why The United States is the number 1 super power on
this globe.
The Democrats’ vision
for America seems to pretty much follow right along with
what is going on in Boston right now.
It’s very confusing,
people are blaming the Secret Service, there are armed enforcers and
security all over the place, people with dissenting opinions are put
into cages, and those who exercise their first amendment rights (like
the pizza joint across the street with it’s Pro-Bush sign) get city
officials harassing them and threatening them to force compliance.
This is very scary, because these people ordering all this bullshit are
the same people that want to run the country. Where is the freedom?
Where is the liberty? I don’t recall anything in the 1st
amendment that says in order to exercise it, you have to be in a cage.
These Democrats are truly frightening. They claim to be the party for
the people,
yet they are panicked by the idea of being near the people. Not
only that, but they are spending out of control…
holy cow… Tax & Spend Zealots are really showing their colors.
There was a link to a story about Kerry in Detroit talking to the Auto
Workers… but I lost the link. It’s not important, let me sum it up for
you. In the fliers and ads for Kerry’s appearance he used a car as a
logo. Going to talk in Motor City, use the image of a car… no problem,
right? Well, much like pancakes and sandwiches, Kerry has another
problem with the common man, the average American. The car he used was
a Rolls Royce… an imported, super expensive luxury car that is nothing
like what is made in the US. Needless to say, Kerry’s efforts there
with the Auto Workers was pretty much undone before he even opened his
mouth. They are pissed off at Kerry for his obvious ignorance about
the auto industry, his lack of concern for them and his blatant
arrogance. Kerry just gave a whole lot of votes to Bush. Thank you
for that, Kerry. I appreciate it… I really do. Why don’t you go to
the meat packer’s union and then ask for just a salad?
The Democrats have come completely unhinged in what equates to a shark
feeding frenzy over their panic to regain power. This scares me. This
scares me more than sharks do. Because I kinda have this belief that
if you want power that bad – you shouldn’t be allowed to have it. I
kinda like the Douglas Adams idea of the Emperor of the Universe. I
hope you would know what I’m talking about there. The EOTU is a hermit
that lives in a shack with a cat. He has the power but never wanted it
and doesn’t care much at all about it. You see, someone in power with
leadership is a great thing. Some one with no leadership but a lot of
ambition trying to get the power… that is troublesome. In fact, that
is downright disturbing and if you want to catch my drift there, just
take a look at Boston. And some history books.
Several emails have
come in singing the praises of
The Bourne Supremacy.
I’m sure that the
flick is a lot of fun, but I just wish they made the movie like the
books… the books have action in them, but they are also a very cerebral
adventure. The movies are just action… at least the first one was and
the second one being from the same people including the screen writer
who has evidently never read a real book in his life (my opinion here
is based on the 1st movie) has given me little to base any
positive expectations from. With some movies out now that are based
much closer to the books, Cold Mountain, The Notebook, LOTR, Harry
Potter… I’m of the opinion that the audiences are growing some higher
expectations themselves. One glaring error in these Bourne movies of
course is Bourne himself. The casting was horrible. Oh, I’m not
dissing Matt Damon – he was great in Dogma. It’s just he doesn’t
strike me as a Jason Bourne. You know who would have been a great
Bourne? Some one more mature… Maybe a George Clooney or a Val Kilmer.
I don’t remember Bourne being a kid. This is just wrong casting.
This is like casting Matt’s buddy, Ben Affleck, as the next James
Bond. *shudder* You can’t get any more wrong than that… not unless you
tried casting Colin Farrell as 007. *vomiting* As far as no brain
summer action flicks go, I’m sure Bourne is a fun flick and given the
chance I’ll go see it. According to my wife, that will be some time
after I am forced to see “The Notebook”. Just shoot me right the hell
now, okay?
Sickest Sleeper I’ve
ever seen.
A K car, that I think used to be a Plymouth Reliant. Nevada tags, the
owner is a Vegas resident that was coming through town on his way home
from visiting folks in Cheyenne. I’m sitting on my tailgate at Taco
Bell enjoying a ½ pound beef and potato, and this K car rolls up with a
deep guttural growl that was so evil it rumbled my soul. I did a
double take on it and sure enough, the evil was radiating under the
hood. The guy gets out of the car as just grins at me and goes
inside. While he is in there, I walk around the car. It looks like
what a stock Reliant would look like but with a couple little
differences. #1 being a pair of exhaust pipes peaking out from under
the bumper on either side… 3 and half inchers, maybe 4. I couldn’t
tell. The wheels were not that fancy, but solid alloy wrapped in some
sick Yokahamas that were too wide for your average Reliant. On the
back was a little sticker that said “Rice Eater” I kid you not when
I said that there was evil radiating from under the hood. Other wise I
would not have taken notice… it’s a Reliant. It’s like factory
inspired lethargy. They are invisible. You don’t even see them unless
you are looking right at it. And if you do see it, you could be put to
sleep by it. A moment later the owner came back out, still grinning.
“You want to see under the hood, don’t you?” I nodded, and he popped
the hood. I don’t know what a normal K car looks like under the hood…
I’ve never had enough caffeine in my blood stream to be able to stay
awake long enough to pop the hood on one. When this hood opened up, it
was like Raiders opening up the Arc of the Covenant. Evil spirits flew
out in all directions in the form of reflected light from all the shiny
rubber, braided steel, and chrome. I couldn’t look directly at the
engine or my face would have melted. The engine inside was huge and
filled the engine bay. I caught glimpses of two insidious devices on
either side of the engine where the wheel wells should have been…
turbos. Plural. 2 of them. I saw tubular steel running around the
outsides and a yellow topped Optima battery sitting in a corner with a
billet aluminum radiator up front. If a line wasn’t steel braid, it
was shiny like liquid. I think I only stammered “What is it?” He
replied “Four twenty seven cobra jet” as he gently shut the hood as if
he was closing the vault door on something sacred that shouldn’t have
been shown.
The “Sleeper” or “Q Ship” is a unique sort of vehicle and I can totally
respect it. It’s a car that is all about performance while looking
innocent. Kinda like Drew Barrymore or my wife. He had this car
built after a lucky day at Caesars Palace. He wanted a fast car but
had a problem with a history of tickets. He’s not had a ticket since.
This Street Stealth technology works. So does thick black frames for
glasses. This guy didn’t look like a hot rodder. And a tan colored
Reliant doesn’t look like one either. This cat had the ultimate Q
ship. I could only guess what this guy was pumping out horse power
wise, but 600 horses is probably the low end. That’s probably at
idle. The whole car was redone to fit all this evil hardware…
firewalls, transmission, suspension… This car is as much Plymouth
Reliant as your favorite NASCAR driver is riding in a real Thunderbird
or Lumina, but that is probably what’s on his insurance and
registration forms. He could have done all that work in a '69 SS or a
GTO, but no... he did it in his old 1986 Plymouth Reliant, 4 door.
Freaking Las Vegas.
July 24th, Saturday, 2004: 2200hrs:
I did some serious off
roading today.
Just me and Ranger. I went to an area I’ve never really explored
before… The intention was to let Ranger do his hunting thing but that
just turned into an excuse to get nuts. I got nuts. Big storm last
night meant some mud puddles today. Common sense went out the window.
No chase vehicle or anything… and I don’t have a winch yet either. So
actually me going out by myself like that was pretty freaking stupid.
One mud puddle damn near got me too. It didn’t look that bad, just
long… it was about 20 yards on the trail and no tracks around it so no
one has been digging in it. Thought I’d be okay. I took a run at it
and I’m glad I did. Cause as soon as I hit it, I started sinking and
the truck pitched over at about a 30 degree angle to the right.
Evidently this wasn’t just a puddle but a hole. I kept my foot on it
and my momentum carried me through… I had the engine roaring at about
5000 RPM, splashing and slinging mud all over the place. The further
forward I went, the deeper it got… and the more worried I got. The
idea of me having to hike about 10 miles back to just the highway was
not a pleasant thought. I just stayed on the gas, not lifting, not
flooring it… just steady as she goes. Dang near came to a stand still,
but the beast finally climbed out of the mud hole on the far side.
He he he… it was cool. Stupid, but cool. Now I have mud all over the
rig… some on me too. I’ll take a snapshot before I wash the truck
tomorrow. I’ll not try that again. I’ve done the walk out to find
help unsticking the 4X4 before. And it aint fun.
The soft sandy-loamy soil that makes up the desert out here can really
turn into some super slick mud. And with the Utah sun to dry out the
top, there could be a mud bog waiting just under the surface to
surprise you anywhere here in the desert. That and a trail that was
fine last week could be washed out this week. No wonder BFG MT’s are
so popular out here. Need a 3 or 4 inch lift and a custom front bumper
too. Some washouts put you unto a position where the front end’s angle
of attack comes into play and today I was hitting the bumper trying to
cross a few washes.
Yeah, I know… really stupid doing this solo… I was just asking to get
stuck. I know this... I was taking the risks with full knowledge of
them, so don't lecture. But the Bronco got me through everything
just fine. It really is an amazing vehicle. This rig is officially
the most fun vehicle I’ve ever had. I did some crazy off roading in
small 4X4 pickups and Jeeps, but a full sized rig is a different animal
completely. Maybe I wont do another Suzuki Sammy after I get this
machine up to Ogre Spec… Maybe I’ll just do an older Bronco.
My folks are coming out from Virginia and I don’t think my VW/Audi
driving Dad has ever been off road. Maybe unpaved gravel… if there was
a construction worker within shouting distance… but no real off roading.
They are going to be in for a little adventure when they get here.
Dad would probably hate it though… maybe if I get the chance I’ll put
in a radio so we get some AM action going and can listen to Rush while
he is grabbing onto the sissy bars and trying not to thing about death
or V-8 fuel consumption. Hey, I’m nothing if not a considerate son.
I
must be really sick, because I am seriously lusting after a
Tube Bender and a
MIG Welder now. Build me up a custom roll cage, bumpers, and rack
system… Then build my own motorcycle frame and start working on my
chopper… I’m a sick, sick man. Now you know that the “Mad” in
MadOgre.com doesn’t just mean angry.

Bush’s pay records for
his time in the guard. Just
how much information did the DNC think was going to be gleaned from
those records. Any pay stub I ever had never had much information in
it. Pay stubs really don’t go into a lot of details about the nature
of the assignments and tasks you may or may not have been working on.
And when I was salaried, pretty much never showed hours or days worked
either. And now the DNC is calling these recently discovered records
“questionable”. What? Considering the DNC’s track record when it
comes to documents (Classified National Archive Files, Missing FBI
Files, Whitewater Files, etc) I really don’t think the DNC has any room
to question document handling. Not that the Pentagon has great deal
of skill at handling documents themselves… my own records were always
mishandled. As are many soldiers. My pay was always screwed up, to
include one time being paid as (I shit you not) an O-4. Not bad wages
for an Enlisted man. I remember when I tried to tap into my GI Bill.
After 8 months of fighting with them, I got a single check for 180
bucks and that was it. They screwed it up again and I was done before
they fixed it. Not that I cared anymore. I was done with them. So
for them to not be able to produce decades old records – I think most
people who had been in the service have not been surprised about this.
But the records did get found eventually. Hey DNC, why don’t you ask
Hillary where are her financial records went? Or what about Mrs.
Kerry’s financial records?
Human cloning has been
green-lighted in Japan.
Cool. Humanity means nothing these days, so why not… roll out some
cloned love-slaves and let’s party!

“Poor Michael Moore-on had his feelings hurt. According to his
whinepage he put out a letter to the owner of the Aladdin damning his
actions (giving the boot to Ronstadt). Apparently, Mr Moore has
forgotten that "Freedom of speech" works for both sides of the coin.
Apparently, someone speaking out in praise of him, misguided as they
are, is freedom of speech, someone
speaking out against
him is slandering him. Sure, that woman is entitled to her opinions,
but the people paid to see and hear a concert, not someone's political
agenda. Furthermore, the part that Moore forgets, is not that the
portion of the audience that cheered was "discriminated against", but
that the other portion of the crowd who did not take kindly to her
actions raised havoc. I wonder if he would have been equally
supportive of Axel Rose, when he was a fugitive from the state of
Missouri in the early 90's for a similar (but larger scale) incident?
Aladdin was exercising their freedom of expression. Who they were not
having to represent their image, and removing the cause of trouble from
their premises. Moore even made the comment that he felt that Aladdin
should "apologize" to her by inviting her back for another show, in
which point, he would "join her in singing America The Beautiful" and
would show Far From Right 9/11 free for the hotel/city. Hey, Moore-on,
Why don't you do it right, and make a World Tour with Linda Ronstadt
and the Blixie Chicks. Take it through Canada, France, Germany, the
Middle East... - Ray”
Couldn’t have said it better myself… but you forgot China and North
Korea. Since she has ballooned up so nicely, they make a cute couple.

rehabilitation center for the traumatized)
